Mixed Media

My mixed media pieces reflect my quirkier side. I am an inveterate hoarder and have a love of old toys, books, myth, fairytale and theatre.

I work in papier mache on a wire base, incorporating found objects, driftwood, fabric, paper and text either cut from old books and magazines or stitched onto fabric and paper to create free-standing characters, or narrative pieces which are then framed. I will also recycle old pieces of work into new. Recently I have begun incorporating silver too.
